Boys' Tennis

The Lipscomb Academy Tennis program has a rich tradition of athletic success as well as personal development.

Players who participate in our program have access to NCAA Division 1 facilities where they can develop skills that will serve them through the enjoyment of a life-long sport. Our purpose is to mold young men and women into persons who reflect Christ in all that they do, whether on or off the court. In alignment with that purpose, our goals center on development of player skills and technique, fostering a deep sense of community within our team, and creating an environment where players have fun and take great joy in playing the game of tennis. All our efforts are grounded in our team motto, “L1A”, a reference to Jesus’ command to “Love One Another” as Jesus first loved us.

Huston-Marsh-Griffith Tennis Center

Human Performance Weight Room

With the renovation of the human performance weight room located at the Upper School, the enhanced performance center is accessible now for the entire student body. The renovations have expedited our ability to install methodologies based around teaching movement, core strength and proper lifting techniques. Sixteen racks, numerous dumbbell and kettlebell racks and increased space give the athletics program the necessary tools to teach effectively.
