Lipscomb Academy is excited to share that alumna Sheron (Cope) Davidson (‘93) has been named the school’s director of advancement programs and alumni engagement.
“Sheron has been a critical member of the advancement office for the last two years, connecting with families as well as spearheading many of our school’s most impactful programs,” said associate head of school for development Casey Farris. “She is an ideal person for this new role, and her work will continue to benefit Lipscomb Academy families as well as our thousands of alumni.”
Sheron, a Nashville native, first came to Lipscomb Academy (then David Lipscomb Campus School) as an elementary school student. She went on to earn her high school diploma from Lipscomb and attend college at Lipscomb University prior to completing her degree at O’More College of Design.
She returned to Lipscomb Academy in 2016 as the administrative assistant for the advancement department. Over the last two years, Sheron has led many important fundraising initiatives, including The Art Event, City Saver Program and Consignment Sale. Under her leadership, Lipscomb Academy’s Art Event and Consignment sale both had recording-setting years in 2018, raising more than $200,000 for the school.
“My Lipscomb experience helped mold who I’ve become both personally and professionally, and I look forward to further connecting our alumni with the Lipscomb community to share their gifts and passions,” she said.
Sheron and her husband Adam (‘97) have three children at Lipscomb Academy - Andrew (9th), Nate (6th) and Luke (2nd). If you’d like to connect with her, please email email@example.com or call 615.966.6321.
