Lipscomb Academy India Mission Trip - November 18-28
Lipscomb Academy Missions will once again be taking a trip to India in the fall!
The first portion of the team's time in India will be spent with Asha Mission, a children’s home. The children who live at Asha have come to the home from brothels, leper colonies and working-class laborer families. Asha's mission is to "follow the way of Jesus Christ in loving children, welcoming the outcast, and sharing good news with the poor." This team will have the opportunity to serve the home and interact with the children.
This second-year team will be also be visiting Doon International School in Majali, India, which has partnered with our school to learn and study the educational environments of the two schools. D.I.S. is a school of about 1,400 students (PreK-12) in the northern region of India. Lipscomb Academy has developed a relationship with D.I.S., with students from the school visiting Lipscomb Academy last December. We have been collaborating on projects and assignments with them as we engage in an exploration of Indian culture. Lipscomb Academy plans to continue to build on this relationship in hopes that our schools will be partners for years to come, and this mission team will have the opportunity to continue forming those relationships in Majali.
We are currently accepting applications for the India Mission Trip. All other Academy mission trips will be announced in the upcoming months. If you're interested in serving in India or have more questions, start by filling out the application here: https://secure.lipscomb.edu/
The trip will be November 18-28 and is expected to cost $2,500-$2,700.
