As an intentionally Christian community, connecting students from a variety of backgrounds is at the heart of Lipscomb Academy's mission.
What is the Lipscomb Academy Global Student Program?
Through our Global Student Program, families from across the world have the opportunity to send their children to our campus in Nashville, Tennessee and take part in our rigorous academic programs. Since becoming SEVP-certified in 2012, Lipscomb Academy has graduated more than 40 Global Students from six different countries.
What's life like for a Global Student at Lipscomb Academy?
Global Students are encouraged and supported to take full advantage of both academic and extracurricular opportunities. From taking part in clubs and athletic teams to meeting together weekly for chapel in a typical academic year, our team will work diligently to ensure that students take full advantage of both our campus and the Nashville community. The countries and cultures of our Global Students are celebrated throughout the year with special events.
Our homestay program offers Global Students a true family experience during their time at Lipscomb Academy. Our approved Lipscomb Academy host families are recruited from our school community, screened, trained, and receive ongoing support. Host families are valuable partners as we seek to serve Global Students.

We also invite international students to come participate in our Summer Experience day camps. This is a great way to get to know our school and interact with American students. It is also a great introduction to American family life, as students have the opportunity to live with a host family for a week or two. We offer camps that cater to a variety of interests including academics, arts, and athletics. For more information, visit the Summer Experience website.
Lipscomb Academy has partnerships with several schools around the world, including the Haiwang School, Shenzhen, China. Students and administrators from the Haiwang school have attend summer and winter camps at Lipscomb Academy since 2017. Lipscomb Academy groups visited Shenzhen and Hong Kong in 2017 and 2019.

“Lipscomb Academy is not only an enjoyable environment and a comprehensive community but also a family filled with love and respect. Going through the difficult transition from one culture to another, the teachers and students at the academy welcomed me with warm hugs and offered me so much help. Despite my family far from home, they embrace me into the school and make me feel like I have an even bigger family here at Lipscomb.” — Yan L., Class of 2020, Guangzhou, China
