March 11-April 21
Lipscomb University Associate Professor of Art Cliff Tierney will present a selection of his works. Tierney has been teaching at Lipscomb for nearly 12 years. He teaches foundations courses in design, drawing and color theory where process and craftsmanship are the main components on which his instruction is focused. He is also a creative arts consultant for Evergreen Life Services, an organization that works with adults with intellectual disabilities.
Prior to teaching Tierney was an illustrator and designer for The Florida Times-Union in Jacksonville and The Tennessean in Nashville. His current body of work consists of drawings related to the shapes and forms of man's desire to destroy and reconstruct. He also has exhibited an installation related to his maternal grandfather and the relationship that never manifested. Cliff has shown regionally and nationally over the past five years.
