Head of School
Longtime school administrator and education veteran Greg J. Glenn was appointed Lipscomb Academy head of school in April 2014.
Glenn is the head of school at Westbury Christian School in Houston, Texas, a position he has held since 2007. Prior to that appointment, he served the school as a faculty member, athletic director and varsity boys’ basketball coach for 14 years. Glenn is involved in numerous professional and community organizations, including serving as president of the Texas Christian Schools Association from 2011-13 and as co-chair of the Striving for Excellence committee of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools. He is also a member of the Bellaire-Southwest Rotary Club and Southwest 2000, a revitalization program for the communities of southwest Houston.
The Miami, Fla., native has a Bachelor of Arts degree in math education from Lipscomb University, where he was a member of the 1986 NAIA national champion Bison basketball team. He also holds a Master of Education degree in curriculum and instruction from Houston Baptist University.
Glenn and his wife, Loa (Collinson), a 1985 Lipscomb University graduate, have three children, Amber, a 2010 Lipscomb University graduate; Richard, a student at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock; and Cody, a junior at Louisiana State University.
