Mark Myers has extensive experience in accounting and financial management in a variety of roles, including the consulting engineering industry. At the end of 2013, he accepted a position as the chief financial officer at Littlejohn Engineering Associates, Inc. in Nashville, Tenn., where he oversees the accounting, finance and human resources functions of the firm. Since early 2011, he has operated in an entrepreneurial venture as a career management coach and job search strategist, serving all types of professionals as they manage their career and job search.
Myers’ career path has included business development and accounting and financial management. As Client Service Director of the Nashville Office of Resources Global Professionals from January 2008 to April 2011, Myers was responsible for the development of new business, the management of existing clients, engagements and consultants for all service lines in the Tennessee market. He is a certified public accountant with 26 years of accounting and financial management experience, including 11 years in public accounting in both auditing and tax roles, serving the manufacturing, professional services, nonprofit, distribution and mining industries. For the 15 years just prior to joining Resources, he was in a controller role for a regional engineering and architectural firm, Barge Waggoner Sumner & Cannon Inc., leading the firm’s accounting function. His strategy building capabilities and creative problem solving skills are backed by an MBA from Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School of Management.
