Robichaud embraces her role as program director of graduate studies in nutrition and exercise science. She has taught as an adjunct professor for five years at Lipscomb instructing students through courses in healthful living, jogging and lifetime fitness. Her passion for guiding students in her health promotion and disease prevention class was the springboard for further work in Lipscomb’s new graduate program. Karen Robichaud completed her Ph.D. at Middle Tennessee State University focusing her research endeavors on postnatal exercise programs. From 2005 to 2007, Robichaud coached Lipscomb’s cross-country and track teams employing information from her M.S. degree in exercise science from Middle Tennessee State University. Prior to coaching full time at the NCAA Division I level, Robichaud taught English at Brentwood High School. There she headed the men’s and women’s cross country teams, leading the women to two state championships before being awarded the 2003 TSSAA Female Cross-Country Coach of the Year. Robichaud ran for Lipscomb while earning her B.S. degree.
