Associate Professor

Al Austelle, M.Ed. & M.S., is the Coordinator of Technology Training and Support for the Center for Teaching and Learning. He works to support faculty in the use of technology in teaching and learning. In addition to his role with the Center for Teaching and Learning, Al is an Associate Professor in the College of Computing and Technology.

Al earned his B.S. in Education from Lipscomb, his M.Ed. in Education Administration from Tennessee State University and his M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Evansville. Al has been with Lipscomb since 1980 serving in a variety of roles, in addition to professor, including as a baseball coach from 1980-1992. Al also worked in the Center for Instructional Technology prior to the existence of the Center for Teaching and Learning. Before coming to Lipscomb, Al taught middle school Math and high school Computing for 12 years in Metropolitan Nashville Davidson County Schools.
