Phillip Camp

Associate Professor

Phillip teaches various Old Testament text courses, Critical Interpretation to the Bible, and Hebrew. He received his bachelor's degree from Cornell University in 1989, his Master of Arts in Religion degree from Lipscomb University in 1993, and his Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1996. Phillip earned his Ph.D at Union Theological Seminary and Presbyterian School of Christian Education. Phillip has served as campus minister for churches in Ithaca, NY, Nashville, TN, and Princeton, NJ. He currently serves as an associate minister at the Natchez Trace Church of Christ in Nashville. He is the author of Finding Your Way: A Guide to Seminary Life and Beyond (Cascade, 2009) and a contributor to the commentaries on Hosea and Amos in The Transforming Word One-Volume Commentary (ACU Press, 2009). Phillip and his wife, Amy, have three sons, Jim, Davis, and Timothy.
