Spinning Nation ride at the SAC

Spinning Nation ride at the SAC is in the past.

The Student Activities Center (SAC) will serve as the Lipscomb site for the Nov. 3 Spinning Nation 2012 national fundraiser for Ride 2 Recovery, a charity benefiting the mental and physical rehabilitation of men and women in the armed forces.

In Spinning Nation 2012, thousands of riders all over the United States seek support from friends, family, co-workers, etc. to sponsor their Spinning Nation ride. In the past two years Spinning Nation has involved more than 450 health clubs nationwide donating their indoor cycling facility to host rides, and more than $250,000 has been raised for Ride 2 Recovery.

As a certified Spinning® facility, the SAC will serve as a local site where participants can come make their Nov. 3 ride for charity. The SAC is also working with the Lipscomb Veterans Services Office to encourage military veterans to join in the ride.

If you are interested in joining in the Spinning Nation ride at the SAC on Nov. 3, sign up at the SAC desk or call Campus Recreation at 966-5860. A minimum donation of $5 is encouraged the day of the event.
