             The LU Faculty/Staff Wellness program began in 1992 by Ruth Henry, Professor in the Kinesiology Department, as a benefit to the Lipscomb employees. Through the years many people have gained much knowledge about their health status while making contributions to increasing their quality of life. All employees may participate in all wellness events, but the $200 incentive is only available to those who have insurance through Lipscomb. 

               In order to become a member of the wellness program, employees must complete a Health Risk Appraisal during the beginning of the academic year. Following the original HRA completion, periodic updates may be made in order to better determine current health status. The HRA is due September 15. For more information, please contact Anna Rose Anderson at annarose.anderson@lipscomb.edu or ext. 5759. 

The LU Faculty/Staff Wellness program offers a variety of activities including Regular Exercise, Exercise Contests, Exercise Events, (5k, 10k races), Wellness Seminars, Consultations, Fitness Assessment, and Personal Training.  Each participant enrolled in the LU Insurance program and in the Wellness program can earn 50 wellness points throughout the academic year (August through May). Upon earning the 50 points, those participants will then receive $200 off their insurance premium!
