THCA Collaboration
Lipscomb University is proud to announce a partnership with the Tennessee Health Care Association. Through this partnership, one scholarship will be offered for the Masters of Professional Studies in Aging Services Leadership. The scholarship will be a one-year commitment from each of the three parties. The parties will be the Tennessee Health Care Education Foundation, Lipscomb University and the recipient of the scholarship.
For the purposes of this scholarship, the cost will be shared as follows: Lipscomb University will offer a 25% tuition defrayment to the total cost and waive an additional 1/3 of the adjusted tuition, THCEF will finance 1/3 of the tuition and the scholarship recipient will be responsible for 1/3 of the tuition.
In addition, Lipscomb University will offer a 25% tuition defrayment to all THCA members who are accepted into the School of TransformAging masters program in 2012.
The candidates for the scholarship will be considered based on the following:
- Previous academic record
- Length of time in long-term care combined with a track record of contributions to the industry
- Narrative on how/why this degree will help a career in long-term care
- Ability to finance 1/3 of the tuition
- Commitment on employer's behalf
- Willingness/ability to work on a group project to advance the industry (Students and THCA will work together on this)
