SECCDC - the Southeast Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition, is a DHS sponsored event for universities that allows students to compete in a mock business IT scenario attempting to harden and defend their networks while complying with “demands from their CIO”. The competition includes technical elements, requires “service uptime” from managed applications, and business acumen in dealing with difficult and frustrating requests under intense time pressures.
