All College of Computing and Technology students are encouraged to join a club for one of three SIGs depending on their majors:

For CS Majors:

Association For Computing Machinery | Sign Up

For Information Security Majors:

Information Systems Security Association | Sign Up

Each SIG exists to serve students within CCT, with the focus defined by the primary major targeted. Each SIG will hold numerous events throughout the year that benefit members, such as:

  • Lectures from Nashville IT, CS, and Security professionals
  • Outreach events that share our blessings with others in the Nashville community
  • Fun events planned by the AITP, ACM, and ISSA leadership teams

Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE)

Upsilon Pi Epsilon was founded at Texas A&M University in 1967 for students and faculty who exhibit superior scholastic and professional achievement in the computing sciences. It remains the only National Honor Society for the computing and information disciplines and is recognized as such by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the IEEE Computer Society. In 1997, UPE was admitted as a member of the Association of College Honor Societies - the parent organization for all academic honor societies in North America. The Lipscomb University chapter of UPE was chartered in 2012 as the Epsilon chapter of the state of Tennessee to the Association by the Executive Council of UPE.
