Lance Lott

Mr. Lott’s specialty areas include strategic planning, business process reengineering and information technology planning and support. He is an experienced executive and has managed very large system projects including the planning, integration, installation and support phases. He has over 30 years of work experience in the areas of business, accounting, information technology, and K-12 education.

Professional Experience 

Cane Ridge High School (Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools) (2008-present) – 

2009-2010 – Teacher in Freshman Academy – Mr. Lott accomplished a career objective by joining the teaching staff of Cane Ridge after earning is teaching license in 2005. During the 2008-09 school year he taught Freshman Seminar and Personal Finance. He also coached the bowling and softball teams. 

2010-Current- Academy Coach – Mr. Lott became the school’s Academy Coach in 2010 while continuing his role as softball coach. As Academy Coach, Mr. Lott has responsibilities related to developing the career academies at Cane Ridge High School. This includes managing business partner relations, professional development for staff members, and assisting each academy in meeting the National Standards of Practice for career academies. 

Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools (2001 – 2008) - As an Assistant Superintendent, Mr. Lott’s responsibilities included Strategic Planning, Information Technology, Policies and Procedures, Quality Management, and interfacing with the school board members on governance issues. He led several large initiatives in the school district including the conversion of several enterprise software applications, a comprehensive IT plan for the district, and the development of a new district strategic plan. 

InfoAdvantage, Inc. (1993-2001) – As Founder and Chairman, Mr. Lott led the rapid growth of this technology company. Under his leadership the company was three times named one of Middle 

Tennessee’s Future 50 companies. He has served as Project Leader in a major process automation project at a Fortune 500 manufacturing company. This project streamlined the processing of engineering changed orders by restructuring the steps and designing/implementing an automated workflow system. He has also served as Project Leader in three major process reengineering efforts for a $3 billion retail store chain. Streamlined processes from these projects are saving in excess of $1 million annually. 

HealthTrust (1987-1993) – As Director of Information Services, Mr. Lott served in the top technology position for this $2.5 billion company. Under his leadership, his staff developed and executed information systems strategies for a corporation that owned in excess of 80 hospitals. Major projects included: performing a company-wide assessment of information systems needs; deploying Novell networks in 80+ hospitals to drive a company-wide EIS application and an advanced market information application; and implementing an advanced decision support and cost accounting system capability (this included developing and executing a vendor selection strategy, negotiating aggressive software rights and multi-hospital implementation agreement, and implementing the system in 15 hospitals). 

HCA (1977-1987) – Mr. Lott was Vice President of Administration for HCA Health Care Alliance. He also served as Assistant Vice President of Information Systems Support; Manager of Financial Systems; Audit Supervisor; Chief Financial Officer, Twin Cities Hospital; and as Assistant Controller, North Florida Regional Hospital.
