I have over 30 years of experience in the IT industry. Starting as a night shift computer operator, I continued to develop my skills and advanced to a senior management position with EDS supporting General Motors Small Car Division. I am currently employed by IBM, where I have held several consulting and sales positions, all focused on selling to senior executives.
I have a solid background of technical, management, and consulting skills and have supported many areas of business – finance, manufacturing, procurement, human resources, ERP, and telecommunications/multimedia. In addition, I have supported clients, in a broad array of industry segments – industrial, automotive, distribution, food service, retail, health care, and entertainment. I was responsible for IT strategy development and execution in several positions. In my role as a consultant, I often met with senior level managers to acquire buy-in for project or solution initiatives.
My strong interpersonal skills have allowed me to be successful with the teams that I managed and the senior level executives that I consulted with. Those skills, in conjunction with the experiences gained with my varied positions, provide me with a unique perspective that allows me to effectively bridge from “the computer room to the board room”.
