Resources
The School of Computing and Informatics offers a number of resources for students.
Check out the lab facilities page for a detailed description of labs available to our students and software that is also being made available.
Along with information about our degrees, you may also access information regarding types of jobs and average salaries you might expect with one of our degrees. The salaries are from the Department of Labor Statistics, are nationwide and not specific to Tennessee.
Students do many types of assignments and projects in our classes. We have highlighted some of the work done by our students from our programming classes. Most have been done with C#. You are free to download the zipped file and play with it. You will need to have Visual C# to work with these but you can download this for free.
Sometimes students come into our program and have past knowledge of the content of a course but no academic credit. In situations like these, they have the opportunity to challenge a course. The Credit by Challenge Procedure link will give instructions on how this process works, the review and project files for the most commonly challenged course in the department.
Lipscomb University has an ITP requirement that all students must pass. The ITP Literacy Requirement gives information about who is subject to it and how it is implemented. It includes both printed and mp4 video files to prepare the students for the ITP test which they take the first semester they are here.
