Summer 2013 Undergraduate Tuition Rates for Non-Travel Courses*
Hours 7-13 $720 per hour (a $240 (25%) discount)
Hour 14 $689--this reaches block tuition**
Hours 15-18 No additional tuition--part of block tuition**
*Travel Courses: Lipscomb University is committed to providing students with opportunities to experience different cultures through our academic travel courses. Because the University values these experiences for our students, in many cases the University provides a travel program rebate to offset some of the student’s direct travel costs, thus making travel courses more affordable for many students. For travel courses where a travel program rebate is used, Lipscomb University institutional aid is not applicable and the travel course credit hours taken are not eligible to be included in the credit hours for tuition discounts noted above. However, total summer tuition for up to 18 hours for both non-travel and travel courses will be capped at the stated block tuition rate for the summer. If you have any questions about how a specific travel course will impact your summer tuition charges, please contact the Office of Global Learning and/or the Office of Financial Aid at 615.966.6207. According to IRS publication 970 (Scholarships, Fellowships, Grants, and Tuition Reductions), scholarships designated for room, board and travel are taxable. Scholarships designated for tuition, fees, and required supplies are nontaxable. Please consult your tax advisor for more specific information about how receiving a travel program rebate might impact your tax return.
**Block Tuition: Summer tuition for up to 18 credit hours is capped at the block tuition rate of $11,489.
Fees: The general student fee is $75 per hour up to a maximum of $888 for a semester. Other fees may apply such as specific course fees including lab fees, studio fees, etc.
Account Credits: Students who have a credit on their account may request a reimbursement check from the Business Office at http://busoff.lipscomb.edu/ and click on Refund Request/Direct Deposit Form. Any Financial Student Aid (FSA) credit balance will be refunded within the 14-day regulatory time frame.
