First Year Interest Groups

Many groups are created especially for Freshmen

Just as you’ve been told, you are here to study and learn. Well, that’s true, but we also know that a big chunk of your life here will be the time you spend between classes and study. We want to help you get involved with students of similar interests and just maybe introduce you to something you’ve never tried before with one of the interest groups listed below. Join as many as you like. You’ll sign up at freshman orientation, and we’ll be in touch about first meeting dates. It’s a terrific opportunity to have some fun and make new friends quickly!

Community Service/Service Learning

Join a group of like-minded peers to learn about ways to use your skills, gifts and talents in service to the community. Come learn about SALT, see how you can get involved in service and discover what opportunities are available for freshmen now.

Want to learn the difference between sauté and saté? Come explore food, culinary arts, international cuisine and nutrition.

Get your game on and join a group of students who enjoy playing and discovering new video games.

Game Development/Engineering

Are you interested in how video games are created? Do you enjoy discovering the “why” behind why things work they way they do? Join the game development group for a chance to meet other freshmen with a similar interest!

Med Club

Mu Epsilon Delta (MED Club) strives to encourage the potential of aspiring physicians and other health care professionals that have expressed interest in learning and growing in the health sciences. Members are provided with opportunities that will not only strengthen their endeavors, but also allow them to serve in an environment specifically tailored for their future goals.

Do you love to travel? Would friends say that you’re someone who’s always looking for the next adventure? Come and meet others interested in expanding their perspective, engaging with God’s creation and creating memories that last a lifetime through travel!
