Dean of Student Development
Josh Roberts is dedicated to ensuring that students at Lipscomb find themselves in the most developmentally appropriate environment to make the transition from young adulthood to adulthood. Lipscomb takes an active role in student development by engaging with students to discover their created purpose and equip them for service as leaders and influencers in the world around them. Roberts joined Lipscomb in 2014 as Dean of Student Development and oversees the career development center, veteran services, intercultural development, the Student Activities Center, student organizations, the Student Government Association, and student leadership development. He also serves as a Deputy Title IX Investigator and as a member of the Honors College Advisory Board. Roberts earned his undergraduate degree from George Washington University and his law degree from the University of Memphis. Prior to joining Lipscomb, he practiced education law under the tutelage of former Congressman and current federal Judge Ed Bryant and served as an administrator at Faulkner University’s Thomas Goode Jones School of Law. He and his wife, Cristen, live in Franklin with their children Graydon, Ensley, Blythe, and Lawson.
