Lisa Steele

Assistant Dean of Intercultural Development

As Assistant Dean and Director of Intercultural Development at Lipscomb University, Lisa helps to prepare students academically, spiritually, socially, and professionally to become culturally competent leaders in an increasingly diverse world. Lisa works with students, faculty and staff to bridge cultures and promote diversity. She is also the Coordinator of Latino Student Services and serves as the advisor to Futuro, the professional association for Latino college students.
A graduate of Lipscomb University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and French, Lisa is currently earning her Master of Arts degree in the College of Leadership and Public Service at Lipscomb.

Lisa loves languages and is fluent in Spanish and French and has studied German and Arabic. She has travelled extensively to several Central American countries. Each summer she spends time in Nicaragua and El Salvador in mission work, which gives her additional exposure to the Latino culture.

Lisa is also a member of the board of directors of FUTURO and The Branch of Nashville. She is also a graduate of the Nashville Mayor’s MyCity Academy.
