Gary Davis was born in Oklahoma, but he was raised in Decatur, Alabama. "Roll Tide." He graduated from David Lipscomb University in 1969 with a major in physical education, minor in math, and 4 great years playing baseball. He attained his masters from MTSU and 40 hours from Tennessee State University.

His teaching experience has been at Ezell-Harding, Lipscomb University, and Lipscomb Elementary. Math, physical education, guidance, baseball, and softball have been some of the subjects he has taught. He has been teaching PE at DLES and coaching softball at the high school since 1987.

Gary loves fishing, coaching, teaching, and quiet times. He has 3 children and worships at the Hillsboro congregation.
