Coach Aid is also the Head Women's Tennis Coach at Lipscomb University. A Nashville native who graduated from Brentwood Academy and Lipscomb University where she earned a B.S in Exercise Science and Biology. She was named the Academic All-Conference team and was also recognized as an NCAA Division I Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar Athlete. Before joining the coaching staff at Lipscomb, Coach Aid served as a faculty member at Ensworth High school as well as Tennis Director from July 2006 till October 2011. Coach Aid has also served as a USTA Junior tournament director and has sat on the TSSAA rules an regulations committee.
Lipscomb Racquet Club Manager/Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for Men and Women Tennis Teams
Jonathan is the strength and conditioning coach for the men and women tennis teams, and joined the LRC staff in the spring of 2014 as the Racquet Club Manager and Director of Health and Fitness. He has his Masters degree from Lipscomb University in Exercise and Nutrition Science. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and is a Certified Tennis Performance Specialist (CTPS). Before joining the Lipscomb Racquet Club staff, he served over 8 years in the United States Army with the 75th Ranger Regiment.

Dr. Griffith coached the men's tennis team at Lipscomb University for 21 years. Currently, he splits his time between athletics and academics, serving also as a professor in the Kinesiology Department. Dr. Griffith was named the NCAA D-1 Independent Men’s Coach of the Year in 2002. While coaching for the university, two of his teams participated in the NAIA National Tournament. Also, his is teams won three Tennessee Collegiate Athletic Conference championships. He was named TCAC Coach of the Year in 1981, 1982, 1984, 1985, and 1990.
Head Coach, Men's Tennis/Tennis Professional
Originally from Houston, Texas, but moved to Vancouver, British Colombia, when he was sixteen, Mario finished his junior career ranked as one of the top 45 players in Canada. Hernandez played tennis for Lipscomb where he served as team captain his senior year and earned All-Academic honors while acquiring a Political Science degree. After a year of working as a tennis professional for the North Shore Winter Club in North Vancouver, British Columbia Hernandez returned to Nashville to pursue his passion for coaching. Aside from coaching the collegiate men's team at Lipscomb University, Mario is available for private and group lessons for all levels and has started up multiple women's groups and NALTA teams while working at the LRC.
Tennis Professional, USPTA/ Adult Programming
Coach Fentriss competed at the University of Oklahoma where he won a Big 8 Conference singles title, lettered for 4 years, and lead the team as captain. Mark coached at several Tennis Clubs and Resorts before moving to Nashville where he was a Tennis Professional for Belle Meade Country Club for 14 years. Fentriss has degrees in Marketing and Graphic design.
Catherine is a 2013 Belmont University graduate and is currently studying for her masters in Exercise and Nutrition Science at Lipscomb. Catherine was a four year starter on the women’s tennis team at Belmont from 2009-2013. She was named to the Atlantic Sun Conference All Freshman Team in 2010 and academically she earned Atlantic Sun Conference All Academic honors and was named to the Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
In USTA Junior tennis, Catherine earned the number one ranking in several age categories in Mississippi and represented her home state six times as a Southern Junior Cup competitor. She also represented the Southern Region in USTA Zonal competitions and was selected to play in the USTA Girls 18 Hard Court National Championship in 2008 and 2009.
At Tupelo High School she won three singles state champion titles and a mixed doubles state champion title while leading Tupelo to four consecutive state team titles.
Dwight competed at the Sectional and National Levels in Juniors, including being a doubles semifinalist at the US Boys' 14s National Open. A Nashville native, he attended Montgomery Bell Academy and Tennessee State University. During his time at MBA, he was part of a TSSAA Division II Team State Championship, three team finals appearances, and was also a two time Doubles finalist. A PTR Certified Professional, Dwight has experience teaching at all levels and ages. He spent time as the Associate Tennis Instructor at the Joe Goldthreate Tennis Academy in Nashville, TN, as well as being the Assistant Boys' Coach at Montgomery Bell Academy.
All Staff Professionals at the Lipscomb Racquet Club have collegiate experience and/or have worked in the club industry in the past. Our mission is to make tennis not just a game but also an experience.
