7:30 p.m. A Spiritual Commission, Granny White Church of Christ
This memorable and inspirational hour of worship will be highlighted by Willard Collins, Harold Hazelip, and Steve Flatt bringing charges from Scripture, a special time of prayer, congregational singing, and a message from Jerry Rushford, Director of Church Relations and Professor of Church History at Pepperdine University. Monday, March 27
10:30 a.m. Lipscomb Potato Drop, Bison Square, Lipscomb University
Lipscomb University students, faculty and staff will bag 42,000 pounds of potatoes to donate to Feed America First, a faith-based hunger relief organization. Work will continue throughout the day until all the potatoes are bagged. Open to the public. (Information: contact Dave Clayton at 615.966.5960)
7:00 p.m. Inaugural Gala, War Memorial Auditorium, Downtown Nashville
Hosted by Governor and Mrs. Winfield Dunn, Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Elliott and Mr. and Mrs. Hilton Dean. The Inaugural Gala honors Dr. Lowry, 17th president of Lipscomb University. Reception at 6:00 p.m. on Legislative Plaza. By invitation only.
