How to apply for Financial Aid

Students applying for financial aid at the Lipscomb University College of Pharmacy must follow the steps outlined below.

Step 1- FAFSA
           Admitted students need to complete the Free Application for Federal Aid (FAFSA).  The Lipscomb University school code is 003486.  You must use this number in order for us to receive a copy of your Student Aid Report.  Follow the above link to complete your application.

Step 2- Federal Stafford Subsidized ($8500) and Unsubsidized ($24500) Loans
          
If you are a first time borrower with Lipscomb University, there are three steps to this process.

                      1.  Complete an application with the Financial Aid Office
                      2.  Choose a lender.  The lender list can be viewed on the Financial Aid website.  (If you have borrowed as a Pharm.D. student before and plan to use the same lender, you will need to complete a new application for the new school year.
                      3.  Sign a Master Promissory Note with the lender.  This can be completed online or the student can request a paper application from the Financial Aid Office.

Step 3- HOPE Scholarship (TN residents ONLY)
           Any Tennessee resident who is currently eligible for the HOPE Scholarship can continue to receive the HOPE scholarship for 5 years, as long as academic and other state requirements are met.  To view these requirements, please visit the website at www.collegepaystn.com

Step 4- Federal Grad PLUS Loans
           This is a loan based on the student's credit and you must be approved.  Before you can borrow funds through this program, you must borrow all eligible funds from the Stafford Loan Program.  There are several steps to this process.  Please be sure that you complete all of them.

                        1.  You must complete a Grad PLUS application with the Financial Aid Office.
                        2.  You must apply for loan with a lender of your choice.  This can be completed online or by phone.  This is the credit approval process.
                        3.  You must complete a Master Promissory Note with the lender.  This can be completed online through the lender.
