Educating Tomorrow’s Professionals
“I am looking forward to fulfilling my dream of
becoming a pharmacist. I know Lipscomb’s College
of Pharmacy is where I will receive an exceptional
education and prepare for a life of service.”
The College of Pharmacy seeks to attract the brightest and best students to prepare them for service and leadership in a professional pharmacy practice. Competition to obtain these students is intense, and student support is extremely important with the rising cost of a professional doctoral education. Students must be able to commit the majority of their time to educational and professional pursuits through residencies and other valuable learning opportunities. Offering scholarship support to these students will be required for success.

Enhancing Facilities

Sterile Products Preparation Laboratory

In addition to scholarship support, we must be able to offer an attractive, innovative, technologically advanced learning facility to encourage students to choose Lipscomb University for their pharmacy education. We must offer modern, well-equipped laboratories so instruction can be accomplished at the most advanced level possible. The College will establish a modern, flexible Pharmaceutical Care Laboratory to help develop critical assessment skills in our students and community practitioners who turn to the College for professional development.
The A.M. Burton Building, a centerpiece of the campus, has been renovated as home to the College of Pharmacy. The building will provide wireless internet access, an integrated biomedical sciences laboratory, individual student space, meeting rooms and a study area for all pharmacy students. Ample laboratory space will be located in the building in addition to all lecture halls, classrooms, and faculty and staff offices. Space that provides a high quality of student life is essential to our success.
