2013 Service Day
Established in 2002, Lipscomb University’s annualService Day has grown from a small event that around 50 students participated in, to a huge event that more than 800 students now enjoy.
Once a year, each year, the entire student body is excused from afternoon classes and divided up into small groups to head out throughout Nashville and volunteer for worthy causes.
On April 10, 2013, The College of Pharmacy had 223 volunteers who served in various locations in the Nashville community. This year faculty, staff, and student pharmacists volunteered at Radnor Lake, Glencliff High School, Overton High School, Hillsboro High School, The Nashville Zoo and the Rescue Mission. The School of Nursing had 60 pre-nursing students volunteer their efforts at the Faith Family Medical Center, Project C.U.R.E., Nursing for Newborns, and the American Red Cross Blood Drive.
