Lipscomb University College of Pharmacy has partnered with AmerisourceBergen Corporation to create the Good Neighbor Pharmacy Endowed Scholarship Fund available to student pharmacists seeking a career in retail community pharmacy.
"We're very appreciative to the AmerisourceBergen team for establishing the Good Neighbor Pharmacy Endowed Scholarship Fund,” said Dean Roger Davis. “The scholarship will provide much needed student support and underscores our dedication in preparing students to serve in community pharmacy." Dean Davis noted the special efforts provided by Gregg A.Bollinger, Vice President Retail Sales and Andy Clarey, Director of Programs, AmerisourceBergen from the AmerisourceBergen North Region.
The purpose of the endowed fund is to provide scholarship support for student pharmacists who have expressed interest in independently owned, community-based pharmacy practice, have demonstrated financial need according to established University policies and practices and are enrolled in good standing or scheduled to enroll in the University’s College of Pharmacy. Student pharmacist must be in their third or fourth year and have interest in practicing in the Community Retail Pharmacy setting and must meet the College’s eligibility standards. Preference will be given to applicants that are members of Student NCPA organizations and who have worked or are currently employed at an independently owned Good Neighbor Pharmacy
