Cost:

The total fee is $95 (CLEP’s fee is $77 per exam plus Lipscomb’s computer fee of $18.00 per exam) CLEP’s portion of the fee may be paid with a credit or debit card directly into the computer. However, Lipscomb’s fee must be cash or check. If desired, it is ok for the total amount to be paid in cash or check payable to Lipscomb University, and we will pay CLEP on your behalf.

Lipscomb is a "limited" CLEP testing center, which means that our CLEP scores cannot be sent to other universities. Therefore, only current and/or prospective Lipscomb students are eligible to take CLEP exams on the Lipscomb campus. However, there are “open” testing centers in many states and cities.  This will allow students to take the CLEP test at an open testing center in their home state, and have their score sent to Lipscomb electronically.  To see a list of open testing centers in your home state go to www.collegeboard.com/clep/

CLEP exams take 2 hours, on the computer, and can be scheduled Monday through Friday as early as 8:30 a.m. and no later than 2:30 p.m. (central time) by calling 615.966.6294 (800.333.4358; extension 6294). The score will appear on the computer screen as soon as the test is completed. Practice tests are available in the testing center free of charge.
