 Where do Lipscomb interns come from?

Our program's previous and current interns have come from far and near. Interns from the past several years have come from as far away as Hawaii and Switzerland (UTC graduate).  Many of our interns come from Tennessee based universities such as UT Knoxville, UT Chattanooga, Tennessee Tech, MTSU (Murfreesboro) and Lipscomb, but other universities represented in the past several classes are Harding University in Arkansas, Western Kentucky, the University of Texas at Austin, Samford, and Seattle Pacific University.

How We Measure Our Success:
Program Goal:  2004-09 Statistics: 2010-11 Graduates:

Graduates will achieve a first-time pass rate of at least 80% on the RD exam over a 5-year period.

First-time Pass rate = 80%  (32 of 40 passed the first time.) 

83% of last year's interns passed the RD exam on the first try 

At least 60% of graduates will have passed the RD exam within 12 months of completing the program.

12-month pass rate = 96%  (46 of 48 passed within 12 months of completing the program)

100% of last year's graduates passed the RD exam within 6 months of completing the program

 

At least 60% of graduates will have secured employment in the field within 12 months of completing the program. 

95.7% (based on survey of internship graduates)

91% of last year's eligible graduates (1 intern is in PA school) secured full-time or part-time RD/ RDE positions within 6 months of internship graduation.
