For the 12th year, the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants welcomed high school students from throughout Tennessee to take part in a four-day camp called the Accounting Academy hosted at Lipscomb University.

Lipscomb University has launched a new, innovative competency evaluation service to help employers in the Nashville community identify proficient and ethical future employees as well as strengthen the skills of current employees. The service is offered through Lipscomb’s new CORE (Customized, Outcome-based, Relevant Evaluation) Competency Assessment and Development Center and is tied to the nationally recognized Polaris® competency assessment model which identifies and rates an individual’s key competencies.

2013 Kopio Awards recognize tireless service to ministry
Summer Celebration 2013 began Sunday night, June 30, as more than 2,000 people filled Allen Arena to worship and pay tribute to one who has served the Nashville community for more than 25 years. Keynote speakers Randy Harris, of Abilene Christian University, and Chris Seidman, from Dallas, officially kicked-off Summer Celebration, which runs through July 2 and centers on the theme, “Practicing the Way of Jesus: The Message of the Sermon on the Mount.” During the festival, several individuals were honored for their service with 2013 Kopio Awards.
