Lipscomb's Department of Visual Arts welcomes Nicholas Felton, infographic designer, entrepreneur and artist whose work focuses on translating quotidian data into meaningful objects and experiences, as part of its Visiting Artist Program on Thursday, March 9, at 6:30 p.m. in Ward Hall. This event is free and open to the public.
Known for being a co-founder of Daytum.com, Felton was also a member of the product design team at Facebook and is credited for influencing the design of Facebook’s current timeline format. His work has been profiled in publications including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Wired and Good Magazine, and in 2013, Fast Company magazine named him among the 50 most influential designers in America.
Housed in the College of Entertainment & the Arts, the Visiting Artist Program exists to educate and foster a greater understanding and appreciation of contemporary art through critical discourse.
