John Kramar, baritone, and Jerome Reed, piano, perform a recital of songs by Purcell, Schumann, Wolf, Duke and Ives. The performers have chosen highlights from their years working together at the Tennessee Governor’s School for the Arts.
Kramar serves as the chair for the Department of Vocal Studies at East Carolina University’s School of Music. His various awards and scholarships have included the first Helen Jepson Dellera Award from the Sarasota Opera, second prize in the prestigious Kneisel Lieder Competition, and two Apprentice Achievement Awards from the Santa Fe Opera. Jerome Reed is the Patricia and Rodes Hart Professor of Piano at Lipscomb University and Chair of the Music Division at the Tennessee Governor’s School for the Arts.
