"Blue Like Jazz" is based on the New York Times Bestseller of the same name by Christian memoirist Donald Miller.

Set at Reed College in Portland, Ore., "Blue Like Jazz" is a semi-autobiographical collection of essays and personal reflections of Miller, dealing with "non-religious thoughts on Christian spirituality."

Disenchanted by the church and his devout Christian mother, 19-year-old Donald leaves Texas for Reed College, a liberal arts college in Portland, Ore. Donald finds that his classmates are more anti-religious than he was prepared. In order to fit in and to find himself, Donald joins an activist group which causes him to question everything he believes in.

Millers works have been compared to fellow Christian memoirist Anne Lamott.

A question and answer session with Taylor will follow the movie screening.
