This special event, designed to provide perspective on the experience of non-English speaking students in America, the will feature a viewing of the Nashville Public Television documentary “American Graduate,” a table discussion of issues explored in the film, and a panel discussion including a Nashville Metropolitan Public Schools official, a student and a community education leader. The Abriendo Puertas initiative is focused on ensuring every child is prepared for and has access to education beyond high school.
