Military Medicine-Forward Surgical Team Event
Lipscomb's Veterans Services Office presents
The U.S. Army’s Forward Surgical Team Display
Wednesday, Aug. 21
9 a.m.-5 p.m.
The U.S. Army’s Forward Surgical Team display—a field medical tent recreating an actual emergency/operating room—will be displayed on the Lipscomb University campus, in McQuiddy Gym, on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
The public is invited to visit the display, showcasing the technology, advancement and flexibility of medicine in the military. Military experts will be on site to show and explain the equipment used by first responders in deployed locations or during natural emergencies.
They can also answer questions about the military’s capabilities in a variety of medical fields including surgery, dental, health services and physical therapy, and questions about how a medical or health-related education can lead to a military career as a physician, dentist, nurse or other medical professional.
The Lipscomb University’s Veterans Services Office, sponsor of the event, will have information available on scholarships and student loan repayment.
