Jazz Concert Series: University Jazz Band and Vocal Jazz Ensemble is in the past.

Lipscomb University’s Jazz Band, directed by Dr. Steve Rhodes, and the Vocal Jazz Ensemble, directed by Dr. Gary Wilson, presents a concert of jazz numbers spanning from Big Band Swing to Tin Pan Alley.

The Vocal Jazz Ensemble will perform “Taking a Chance on Love,” arranged by Darmon Meader of New York Voices, “A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square,” arranged by Gene Puerling and “Choo Choo Ch’Boogie,” arranged by Kirby Shaw. The Jazz Band will perform “When the Saints Go Marching In” and “I Can’t Believe that You’re in Love with Me” together with the vocal ensemble.
