William F. Carpenter III, chairman and CEO of LifePoint Hospitals, will be the next speaker at the Nashville Business Breakfast, at 7 a.m., March 12,, in Lipscomb’s Allen Arena.
The Nashville Business Breakfast is a quarterly networking event presented by Lipscomb University and the Nashville Business Journal, with a news-conference style format, featuring business leaders with local economic impact.
Networking coffee begins at 6:45 a.m. The program will continue until 8:30 a.m. Tickets cost $30 in advance or $40 at the door. Free parking is available.
Carpenter is chairman and CEO of LifePoint Hospitals. He has served as CEO since 2006 and assumed the additional position of chairman of the board in 2010. He is a founding employee of the company, which was established in 1999, having previously served in various roles as executive vice president, senior vice president, general counsel, secretary and corporate governance officer.
Carpenter is a trustee and past board chair for the Federation of American Hospitals, the national public policy organization for investor-owned hospitals. He is currently chair-elect of the Nashville Health Care Council Board of Directors. He also is a member of the board of directors of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce. Carpenter has appeared on Modern Healthcare magazine’s annual “100 Most Influential People in Healthcare” list numerous times.
