Lipscomb University knows that as summer quickly approaches, parents will need activities to beat the Nashville heat and keep the kids engaged this summer. Students all over Nashville will have the opportunity to fill those long, hot summer days with over 80 summer camps including this year’s newest camp options offered by Lipscomb’s George Shinn College of Entertainment & the Arts.

From Tuesday, May 30 to Friday, August 4, Lipscomb academy and university will offer a wide-variety of summer for students Pre-K through 12th grade with its Summer Experience 2017.

Camps prices range from $50-$150 and are available in a variety of subjects and sports options. Students can pick from numerous week long, day camps that are designed to help students discover and explore new passions, get a jump-start on the next school year, develop athletic ability and make new friends along the way.

Franklin Bennett, director of Summer Experience, says Lipscomb’s summer camps helps students to further explore their passions and develop skills in a nurturing, caring and fun environment. Led by university professors and highly-skilled coaches, Bennett says Summer Experience 2017 gives campers a truly unique experience.

“The expertise campers get from these camps is invaluable,” said Bennett. “I hope that kids attending our camps walk away feeling like they have had an enjoyable experience, that they have learned something new, made a new friend, and that they are already looking forward to returning again next year.”

This year, Lipscomb Academy has partnered with the CEA to host a series of exciting summer camps aimed at helping kindergarten through high school students sharpen their skills in several artistic areas. From acting to musical theatre, as well as graphic design to animation, these camps will provide an exciting way for kids to spend their summer.

These top-notch entertainment summer camps are a great opportunity for parents to involve their kids in enriching experiences over the summer months, said Scott Baker, director of marketing and community outreach for the College of Entertainment & the Arts.

“We couldn’t be more excited about offering camps associated with the CEA,” said Baker. “We have an exciting vision for making Lipscomb the place in Nashville to get a K-college Arts education, and these camps are an important part of it. We are especially keen to have these camps as a bridge to the local community.”
