Butch Spyridon, a Vanderbilt graduate, has served as president and CEO of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau (NCVB) since 1991. Under his leadership, Nashville has evolved into a year-round destination for meetings and leisure visitors, and tourism has grown to become the city’s second largest industry with annual visitor spending exceeding $4 billion. He has been intimately involved in the relocation of the now Tennessee Titans, the construction of Bridgestone Arena and, most recently, helped champion the construction of the $585 million Music City Center opening in 2013, which more than triples the downtown convention space. |
