Lipscomb Theatre presents Twelfth Night
Lipscomb University Theatre presents
a joint production with The Nashville Shakespeare Festival
Twelfth Night
by William Shakespeare
The Lipscomb University Theatre Department is proud to announce a joint production of Twelfth Night with the Nashville Shakespeare Festival. Artistic Director Denice Hicks will direct a varied cast of Shakespeare Festival regulars and Lipscomb University students in what is sure to be a wildly entertaining night of theatre.
In one of the greatest comedies ever written, Shakespeare delivers a night of deep, satisfying laughter. All the key ingredients are here — romance, mistaken identities, women falling in love with men who turn out to be women — and it’s made all the more tantalizing by the rich characters. From the exquisitely courageous Viola to the beautiful and bereaved Olivia to the insufferable Malvolio, everyone is dealing with a sort of crisis. Twelfth Night is both achingly funny and profoundly beautiful – An absolute must-see.
