Social work teams with End Slavery TN to present lecture on human trafficking on Monday

Karpinski will speak on what human trafficking means and who it impacts. She will discuss why human trafficking continues to grow, the lures that traffickers use, who is most vulnerable and indicators to look for. She will also address the laws that apply to trafficking, the challenges of working with victims and techniques used to help victims.
Social workers may obtain one contact hour for attending this presentation.
Karpinski retired from Skyline Medical Center where she was director of volunteer and spiritual care services for over 10 years. She is a certified Volunteer Management Professional with more than 30 years of experience in for-profit and not-for-profit businesses and organizations.
