Janet Holeman

Janet Holeman is delighted to be returning to her beloved Alma Mater at Lipscomb as an adjunct faculty member. During her early days at Lipscomb Janet performed in various recitals and musical shows, such as in the role of Dolly Levi in Hello, Dolly!, Musical Director and Hostess of Singarama, and member of Acappella Singers and Early Music Consort.  After receiving her B.A. in Vocal performance from Lipscomb Janet acquired her Master of Music from the University of Alabama.  Since that time she has performed with Nashville Opera Association in L’Elisir D’amore, Aida, and as La Ciesca in Giannhi Schicchi. Janet was also a lead performer with Bama Theater as Maria in The Sound of Music and Marion Paroo in The Music Man.

In addition to her performance credits, Janet has held multiple positions teaching, coaching and directing.  She is a member of NATS and the National Guild of Piano Teachers.  Janet was the choir and drama director of Surrey Garden Christian School, Jr. High and High Schools in Arizona.  She has also held adjunct positions with Lipscomb as a studio voice teacher and director of Opera Workshops.  Most recently in 2009 Janet directed the vocals for the Lipscomb Drama department’s production of Guys and Dolls and the Night at the Opera with Lipscomb Music Department.  Only Janet’s love for God and family supersedes her passion for music and performance.  Her greatest treasures are at home with Mark, Colleen, and Casey.
