Donna King, Piano and Music Appreciation
Donna King, instructor in music, holds the B.A. degree in music from Freed-Hardeman University (piano performance emphasis) and the Master of Music degree in piano performance from Middle Tennessee State University. She has taught private piano at Lipscomb since 1987, and her duties have increased to include class piano and music appreciation as well as accompanying concerts and recitals. In 1999 she was appointed a full-time instructor.
Mrs. King has taught piano and served as an accompanist for Belmont University, Middle Tennessee State University, and Goodpasture Christian School. A member of the Music Teachers National Association, Professor King has served as an adjudicator for various competitions and festivals sponsored by music teachers' organizations. She is in the process of completing the Master of Music Education degree at Belmont University. Professor King is also the first carilloneur for Lipscomb's Allen Bell Tower, a 35-bell carillon.
