University Wind Ensemble
The University Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Stephen Rhodes, is dedicated to performing high-quality literature ranging from old favorites to the avant-garde. The Wind Ensemble schedules two concerts each semester, and also performs in combination with the choral groups for special events.
The demanding dynamic of a small wind ensemble provides a challenge to the student interested in a music major with an emphasis in performance, or who simply enjoys playing wind music. Students who participate in Wind Ensemble may also be eligible to perform in the Vanderbilt Commodores marching band.
