About Lipscomb
University Singers
The Lipscomb University Singers, directed by Dr. Gary Wilson, is devoted to a broad range of music with special emphases on Americana, from colonial singing-school tunes to African-American spirituals, contemporary praise and devotional music, and popular and jazz styles.
University Singers is open to any Lipscomb student. This choral ensemble is devoted to training inexperienced singers who have an interest in singing, but limited background. Basic sight-reading, vocal technique, and musicianship are an important part of this group. University Singers typically performs at “The Lighting of the Green” and the Christmas concert with the Wind Ensemble in the fall semester, and at the end of the year concert in the spring.
