Music Chapel is organized around the following principles:
Most (if not all) of the service will be singing.
- No single style of church music will predominate to the exclusion of others.
Since many of the participants read music, written music will be provided if at all possible.
Music faculty and student leaders will introduce new songs on a regular basis.
Music Chapel primarily has used the hymnal Songs of Faith and Praise, supplemented occasionally with hymns from other sources. Membership draws heavily from music majors, music minors, and music ensemble participants, but also includes a number of students not otherwise associated with the Music Department. It also enjoys a number of regular visitors from among the faculty, both inside and outside the Music Department. Music Chapel is regularly led by Dr. Rhodes and Dr. Wilson.
