Since 2012, Lipscomb Missions has partnered with Mission Lazarus to serve in the mountains of southern Honduras shortly after the Christmas holiday. Originally serving as a trip specifically for student athletes, last year this team was opened to all and will continue to be for the future. Previous projects have included building mud-brick houses from scratch, storage and office facilities for the Mission Lazarus ministry, and lots of games of soccer and baseball with the local kids. This year we will be partnering with Healing Hands International in serving Mission Lazarus.

We will be staying at the Posada San Lázaro, an inn run at the Mission Lazarus Ranch, in San Marcos de Colon, honduras. It is a place for rest, relaxation, and restoration for groups traveling to Honduras. The Posada San Lázaro hosts over 30 teams per year and has a variety of amenities  including Wi-Fi, delicious meals, hot water, and even a gift shop.

The holistic approach that Mission Lazarus pursues seeks to address multiple facets of community development and growth and ultimately share the love of Jesus. Their comprehensive approach focuses on specific outreach methods in the areas of agriculture, education, medicine, church planting, refuge (orphanage) and social enterprise. By participating in this trip you will be able to see and experience the multiple facets of the Mission Lazarus operations.
