Our Help Desk in room 145 of the Information Technology Center is staffed during lab hours. The Help Desk can can reset your network password or help you with common network, email or other software issues as well as get connected to the network. Our labs are located in the lower level of Beaman Library and can be accessed from the back side of the library. You can reach the student help desk at (615) 966-1777 as well. myLipscomb is the portal for Lipscomb University students, employees and faculty. In order to access your myLipscomb account, first go to http://my.lipscomb.edu. Your username and password is your Lipscomb Network username and password.
If you experience issues with the myLipscomb portal please let the Information Technology Help Desk know at http://helpdesk.lipscomb.edu. When providing information about the issue you are seeing, please provide as much information about the system you are on and if possible provide a screen shot of the browser window.

myLipscomb is a constantly changing portal of information. It will be the place to go for much of the information you need while here at Lipscomb. All access to the previous "Lipscomb Central" site is now inside the myLipscomb portal. It is now a channel on either the Student Resources, Employee or Faculty tab. In addition, all access to Blackboard is also through the myLipscomb portal.
Problems have occurred when using myLipscomb with Google Chrome. Please use another browser if possible with the myLipscomb portal.

Blackboard is your source for class materials and information. To access Blackboard, Log into myLipscomb with your username and password, and in the Launchpad on the left side, hover over "Launch" and then click on Blackboard.

Before purchasing a computer, check with the chairperson of your major department to see if a Windows based or Macintosh system is more appropriate for your anticipated area of study.
A laptop computer has the advantage of being mobile and, if equipped with a wireless connection, is able to connect to the network almost anywhere on campus. We recommend that when you purchase a machine that you keep in mind the different software applications that will be used when deciding on memory and processor speed.
The following manufacturers have set up customized discount pages for Lipscomb users, but you if you are looking at another brand, we encourage you to look for education discounts on their sites as well.
